The very first post

Well, where to begin…
This should not be a problem for the inventor of the run-on semi-nonsequiter.

Most days I will probably write about the state of the world, the horror of visiting war on populations across the world. In the last few years, the US has laid waste to 2 entire companies and assisted in the destruction of the third. And this is only in the Middle East. And still the powers that be waffle and squabble about the importance of winning and losing, of appearances. In fact, undaunted by the fact that these initiatives have so far achieved no positive benefits for us or anyone else, and have, in fact, been very expensive for us (though less so than our targets), they are actually considering the destruction of another country in the area. What sickness has overcome us?
I hope I will also get around to visiting the place of women and children at the heart of life, the bounty and grace of the earth, and our obligation to respect the world that is our home. So, am I heading for some kind of pagan feminism here or environmental consciousness. If women ruled, would we have a kinder gentler civilization? Will global warming finally humble the race of humans and provide an incentive for the world community to work together? Well, I am happy to follow either path, but this is just an introduction, so I won’t do it now.

Perhaps I will riff on the place of thought in our consciousness one day, on the nature of consciousness, on emptiness. What is dharmakya? There’s a subject. Or, I can make the topic more accessible by presenting a guided meditation or an outline for a yoga practice.

All will be revealed in time.
