Iran and Iraq
I have been focused on telling the story of my trip to Iran in this forum. It has been a busy time. Several months have passed and I have yet to chronicle the last few days of our trip spent sightseeing and shopping in Esfahan, visiting the shrine of Fatima Masoumeh, sister of Imam Rezah, the last earthly Imam according to Shia beliefs, in Qom, and a lovely day in North Tehran after our flight home was delayed. I like telling this story, sharing what was for me a rich and illuminating experience. If everyone could see Iran through my eyes, there would be no talk of ‘Bombing Iran’. I wanted to let go of illuminating the negative actions that are occurring and draw attention to something beautiful and valuable that is unnecessarily at risk. But the cloud is once again so dark that it is impossible to shine a light through it. It is time to look directly at it, for a moment.
