What About Al?
I haven’t logged on in so long that I was surprised an the number of forgotten and unfinished posts. Is there something I might convey today in a brief format, that can be completed in a single effort?
Here’s a personal note. Over the last 6 years, politics has become a dangerous and divisive subject in my family. One brother has supported the neocons, voting for Bush and enthusiastically supporting the wars in the Middle East for whatever the reason du jour might be. The other brother is a faithful Democrat. He calls himself liberal, opposes the war with some ambivalence based on the pronouncements of the Democrats in Congress, but blames Arabs for our troubles and theirs. I have become increasingly radicalized by the horrors committed in our names on the other side of the world. Thanksgiving and birthdays have become high risk social events.
